Terms of Service

Last updated July 16, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Courtado, a platform for finding tennis courts, sessions, and players in New York City. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Courtado.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Courtado is invite-only: accounts are created using an invite code from an existing member, and we may limit, revoke, or decline invite access at our discretion.

In-Person Meetups — Please Read Carefully

Courtado helps you find courts, sessions, and other players — but any time you meet, play with, or otherwise interact with another user in person is between you and them. We do not run background checks, verify identities beyond basic account creation, or supervise sessions in any way.

  • Use your own judgment about who you meet, where, and when. Meet in public places for a first session, tell someone where you're going, and trust your instincts.
  • You are solely responsible for your own safety and conduct, and for that of any guests you bring, during any in-person interaction arranged through Courtado.
  • Courtado is not responsible for the conduct of any user, on or off the platform, or for any injury, loss, or dispute arising from a session or meetup.

Your Conduct

When using Courtado, you agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users, in messages, profiles, or in person.
  • Misrepresent your identity, age, or affiliation with any person or organization.
  • Post content that's illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Use the platform for commercial solicitation, spam, or any purpose unrelated to finding tennis courts, sessions, and players.
  • Attempt to circumvent the invite system, create multiple accounts to evade a block, or otherwise abuse the platform.

Your Content

You own the content you post — profile info, photos, messages, session details. By posting it, you give Courtado a license to display it to other users as part of operating the app (for example, showing your profile to people you message, or your session to potential joiners). You're responsible for making sure you have the right to post what you post.

Reporting, Blocking & Enforcement

You can report or block another user directly from their profile. We review reports and may warn, restrict, or permanently remove any account that violates these Terms, at our discretion and without prior notice, particularly in cases involving harassment, safety concerns, or abuse of the platform.

Account Termination

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, misuse the platform, or for any other reason at our reasonable discretion, with or without notice.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Courtado is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the accuracy of court information, the availability of sessions, or the conduct of any user. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Courtado and its founder are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any injury, loss, or dispute arising from your use of the platform or your interactions with other users, including in-person meetups.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
